Shri Shatrunjay Yuvak Mandal

Shelter of Care - Safety from Sun & Rain

During its village visits, Shatrunjay Yuvak Mandal observed that several essential community spaces lacked even the most basic protective infrastructure. In some villages, cremation grounds had no shelter, forcing families to perform last rites under harsh sun or heavy rain. Similarly, gaushalas caring for abandoned and rescued cattle were left exposed to extreme weather conditions.

Recognizing that dignity, compassion, and care must extend to every phase of life—and to every living being—the Mandal took immediate action. Protective sheds were constructed at cremation centres and gaushalas to provide shade, safety, and comfort during adverse weather. These shelters ensure that final rites can be performed with respect and that animals are protected from heat and rainfall throughout the year.
